A One-of-a-Kind Pop-Up Shop Giving Animals Hope for the Holidays

Three barks for Thousand Oaks, California's Janns Marketplace shopping center management company, NewMark Merrill for the fantastic generous donation of the store as a pop-up pet shelter for the holidays and for championing “Puppies before profits.”

Mom and I Attended the Grand Opening of the ground breaking pop-up pet shelter store on November 18, along with uber pet friendly folks like, Linda Parks, Supervisor for Ventura County, Heather Danko, Marketing Director, NewMark Merrill, Melanie Pozez, Founder of Bark Avenue Foundation, Kim Sill, Board Member, Bark Avenue Foundation, City Councilmember Claudia Bill-de La Pena and Ventura County shelter employees, volunteers and friends.

This is “meant to be,” said Bark Avenue Foundation's Kim Sill (a tireless dynamo for championing  shelter animals and animal rescue)  "A true Christmas Miracle at the Marketplace.”

Nancy Grace joins Golden Retrievers to Help Children With Autism

At the recent, ACT Today (Autsim Care and Treatment) 6th Annual Denim and Diamonds celebrity fundraiser, in Calabasas, California, high wattage humans like, Nancy Grace, Leeza Gibbons, Brooke Burke, Florence Henderson, Julie Moran and Tom Bergeron mingled and sipped and supped and raised over $200,000!

Among the honorees were canine guests, The Arizona Goldens, LLC- an amazing group of Golden Retrievers, specially trained to assist children with Autism to improve behavior, social skills and reduce stress, among other benefits.  The training process includes a 2 week in-home 1 on 1 experience and the service placement is paid for by donations through individual and group fundraisers like ACT Today, chaired by Nancy Aspaugh, former executive producer of the Leeza show.

I wasn't able to attend (time out for being naughty- sorry, no details for now).  It looked like a great evening-3 snorts for the Goldens!

Pug gets XXX rated tweets

"It all began when I tweeted that I had eaten a 15 oz bag of almonds when I was left home alone," confessed Phoebe Rose, a large and lovely celebrity pug-aspiring muse and plus size canine model, with a very large appetite (for food and anything that resembles an edible substance).

"Mom received the XXX emails and had to put a block on these followers.  I am trying to encourage more fans and friends, but this is not the direction that I want my career to take.

"I was feeling fine after the almonds, just a bit thirsty," confided Phoebe, with a satisfied snort at the recollection.

"I'm not that kind of Pug," asserts, Phoebe Rose, after receiving XXX rated Twitter followers.

The fantastic team members of Blogger.com were at the Blogworld Expo last weekend.

They showed us how to redesign "atravelingpug.com" using the brand new blogger design tool "dynamic formatting."  Easy to implement, free and looks great!

Popular NYC style maven Ari Seth Cohen, Advancedstyle.blogspot.com, made a guest appearance at the Blogger booth and gave Mom and I some great tips about blogging format and design!

I had fun (I think) at the Southwest Airlines Photo Booth

So after hanging out at the BlogWorld Expo, I learned a lot.  For example as popular as Twitter is-only 6% of the population uses it!  Talk about getting an edge on the competition.....

Rick Calvert, the CEO of Blogworld told us that "content is king" and Blogs are for people that are passionate about their subject (aka canines) and don't have to be techies."  Check out blogworld.com for loads of helpful tips.

Did you know that Youtube is the #2 search engine?   (#1 is Google of course) and the super nice guys at Viddy.com will edit your video for free!  Embedding videos in your blog is another great way to attract more viewers.
